Can we meet you before booking our wedding?

We love to discuss your wedding film either via skype, phone or over a coffee. (depending on location!)

Can you travel interstate/overseas?

We can travel wherever you want us to! All we need is a way of getting there, and depending on how far away, somewhere to stay. Contact us to discuss pricing.

What is the difference between a Highlights and Wedding Film?

Our Highlights film is a great overview of your day, giving a great taste of your day through film. Our Wedding Film is a bit more in depth, with a bit of extra time to tell the story of your day. We get a bit more creative with Wedding Film edits - creating an even more unique film.

What is a Formalities Film?

Our Formalities Films showcase your wedding ceremony and reception speeches as they happened, featuring audio and visuals in full.

Can I add more hours to my package?

If you require us to spend more time with you on your wedding day, please get in touch to discuss. If on your wedding day you would like us to stay back longer than we had planned, we are more than happy to for $200 per person, per hour at our discretion.

Do you require a deposit?

We require a 20% deposit to secure your wedding date. This deposit is a non-refundable booking fee, as we often refuse other bookings to secure a date. Final payment is due a month before your wedding date.

Can I change anything?

If you would like to changes to your film, we are more than happy to oblige. Only the whole shabang includes revisions as standard. We can make additional changes at a rate of $100 per hour. (Small changes such as swapping around 1-2 shots won't incur a fee on any package)

How do you choose the songs in your videos?

We select the song for your wedding based on the day itself, your style, and the style of video we are creating. We only use high quality and unique music, which helps to create a cinematic wedding film.

Can I use my own song?

We do not use any commercial/pop music in our work. Music plays a big part in what we do, and a major part of our style is in the music we select for our couples. We only use high quality tracks, from great artists, which make your wedding film unique and add to the cinematic style.

Can I have all the raw footage?

While we do not supply our raw footage files with any package, our formalities edits add in a real time edit of your ceremony and speeches, and our 'cutting room floor' add-on is great if you want to see some of the extra moments that didn't quite make the final cut of your wedding or highlights film.

What can I from you expect on the day?

You might not even notice we exist! When filming a wedding we try and be as subtle as possible, and capture the little moments of the day as they happen, no huge crew making your day feel like a movie set. Depending on the package selected and details of your wedding, you’ll either see one or two of us on your wedding day.

Do we need to feed you on our wedding day?

Filming your wedding works up quite the appetite – If you can feed us, it would be very much appreciated! If for some reason you can not, please let us know in advance so we can discuss alternate arrangements.

How many videographers do I need?

One videographer will be more than enough for most weddings, but two will always allow us to capture more little moments and more things at once. We always set up multiple fixed cameras during your ceremony so we don't miss a moment. Some weddings in larger venues and with complex ceremonies are better suited to two, but it's really up to you + your budget.

How long will it take to receive my video?

From your wedding day, we allow 8 weeks to get you the first version of your film(s).

How will I receive my video?

All our packages come with a digital copy of your video via online download + vimeo link. Some packages also include a USB. We also love to showcase your video as part of our portfolio, and through our various social media channels.

What equipment do you use?

We use a wide range of equipment, mainly filming on  Sony A7s ii, Sony FS5 and Panasonic GH5, with a variety of zoom and prime lenses. We combine this with a wide range of peripheral equipment, such as sliders and stabilisation equipment to achieve our style. If none of this makes sense - no need to fear... we have the technical side under control!

Where are you based?

We are based in Geelong and Bendigo, Victoria, Australia.

We can travel anywhere, but especially love local weddings in Geelong and the Surf Coast, Mornington, Bendigo, Ballarat, Daylesford and Central Victoria and in Melbourne + the Yarra Valley.

How many weddings do you do per year?

Currently we have a cap of 26 weddings per year total.

Do you do commercial work?

While we as Paper Lion Collective do not complete commercial work, the team complete work under the name Hebron Films. Visit for more information.
